Welcome to our website.

 

 We are a Church-affiliated Scout Group based at La Salette Scout Group in Rainham, Essex. We are part of the Hornchurch District Scout Group, which has sixteen Scout Groups in it.

Our Scout Group has three sections, which together provide weekly Scouting activities for young people between the ages of 6 and 14: Beavers (for ages 6 - 8), Cubs (for ages 8 - 10 and a half) and Scouts (for ages 10 and a half -14) .

Both boys and girls enjoy Scouting every week and have the opportunity to make friends, discover new activities and take part in a carefully structured programme aimed at the age range within that Section. Moving on to the next Section is actively encouraged as each progressive one offers a more advanced and exciting Programme.

The Scouting formula is simple: using volunteer adult leaders and basic facilities, Scouting helps young people from all backgrounds to develop universally valued qualities of trust, empathy, confidence, integrity and a spirit of adventure. Life skills are learned to help the young people become tomorrow's happiest, healthiest and most productive citizens, some of whom will be tomorrow's leaders.
